IPL 2020: Salaries of Delhi Capitals (DC)
Indian Premier League (IPL) team auctions are held and Delhi Capitals (DC) is in the spotlight with Ajinkya Rahane and Ravichandran Ashwin added to the team. The team wanted good hitters after releasing Colin Ingram and, in a quick move, bought Jason Roy, the English starter despite having other options at Rahane, Prithvi Shaw and Shikhar Dhawan. DC later wanted an SUV like Maxwell, but couldn’t get it at auctions. Instead, they went for Shimron Hetmyer for a huge sum, relying on his power-hitting abilities.
Hetmyer has already played for RCB (Royal Challengers Bangalore) and is among the most expensive purchases for DC at the IPL 2020 auctions. Post, this, the highest bid came for Marcus Stoinis, the Australian ATV. DC also renounced South African ATV Chris Morris and faced Chris Woakes, the English and Australian talent Alex Carey as the optional goalkeeper while Rishabh Pant remains the team’s usual heel.
