1. Chris Gayle
Chris Gayle became the first batsman to score a hundred points in the T20 World Cup on September 11, 2007. He set the record for the highest individual T20 World Cup score in Johannesburg against the host team of the 2007 T20 World Cup. South Africa. He reached the milestone in the 2016 T20 World Cup match against England that took place in Mumbai on March 16, 2016. 2. Suresh Raina
Former Indian batsman Suresh Raina was the second batsman to score one hundred in the T20 World Cup. He achieved the cornerstone on May 2, 2010, in the fifth match of the 2010 T20 World Cup against South Africa. Overall, Raina scored 101 runs on 60 balls with the help of five superb sixes and 9 limits. His Strike was held at 168.33 during innings.
It was the fifth match in Group C of the 2010 T20 World Cup and India set a goal of 185/5 against South Africa. However, SA finished 172 of 5 in 20 overs and came up short in the race. 3. Mahela Jayewardene
Legendary Sri Lankan batsman and top T20 World Cup run-scorer Mahela Jayewardene was the third batsman to score a hundred in the T20 World Cup. He became the only one from Sri Lanka to achieve the milestone of a T20 hundred on May 3, 2010, against Zimbabwe in Providence. In the effort, he scored 100 runs on 64 balls with the help of 4 sixes and 10 limits.
His strike average during innings remained at 156.25. It was the seventh match in the group stage of the 2010 T20 World Cup. Sri Lanka, with the effort of Mahela Jayewardene, achieved an attractive total of 173/7. 4. Brandon McCullum
Former New Zealand captain Brandon McCullum was the fourth batter to score one hundred in T20 World Cup history. He achieved the milestone against Bangladesh on September 21, 2012, at Pallekele Cricket Stadium. McCullum went on to score 123 runs on 58 balls with the help of 7 sixes and 11 limits on the field.
Whereas, their average strike rate remained at 212.06. As a result, New Zealand set a great 191/3 goal in 20 overs while batting first against Bangladesh. However, Bangladesh was unable to pursue the target and resumed its turn at 132/8.
Thus, New Zealand won the match by 59 runs. Brandon McCullum received the Man of the Match award for his extremely fast tackles.
Current English cricketer Alex Hales was the fifth man to score a hundred in the T20s. He brought this milestone against Sri Lanka at the Chattogram cricket arena on March 27, 2014. He remained undefeated at 111 while facing 64 balls and hitting six classy six and 11 beautiful limits.
Whereas, his strike rate remained 181.5 in that inning. It was the 22nd match in the Super 10 stage of the 2014 T20 World Cup between England and Sri Lanka. Sri Lanka had established a mountainous 189/4 total while batting first against England.
6. Ahmed Shahzad
One of Pakistan’s most underrated cricketers and Quetta Gladiator star player Ahmed Shahzad was the sixth batsman to score a hundred in the T20 World Cup. To date, he remains the only Pakistani hitter with a hundred in the T20 World Cup.
Shahzad reached the milestone in match 27 of the 2014 T20 World Cup against Bangladesh in Dhaka on March 30, 2014. He remained undefeated with 111 * as he faced 62 balls. Other than that, he also hit 5 sixes and 10 limits in that inning. Whereas, his average strike rate remained at 179.03.
It was a Super 10 match between Bangladesh and Pakistan at the 2014 T20 World Cup. With the help of that incredibly fast tackle from Shahzad, Pakistan managed to put in a great goal of 190/5. In return, Bangladesh resumed its persecution on 140/7. Therefore, Pakistan won the match by 50 runs, and Ahmed Shahzad was awarded Man of the Match.
